ARKADELPHIA, Ark. -- Courtyard Gardens is hosting the first annual Willie Tate Classic Golf Tournament on June 4 at DeGray State Park Golf Course.  The cost is $200 per team or $50 per person.  Entry fee includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, door prizes, and gift bags.  For more information, sponsorship opportunities, or to enter a team contact Robin Leguin or Tammy Crockett at (870) 246-5566. 

AHC hosts weightlifting competition

AHC hosts weightlifting competition

The Arkadelphia Health Club (AHC) is hosting a recognized state meet on June 4 at the club located at 3030 West Pine Street.  Weigh-in is at 12noon and the meet begins at 1:00pm.  There is a $60 fee for participation in each event.  Lifters can register in advance or sign up the day of the meet.  The public is invited – no charge to observe.  Supplement vendors will be present during this event with additional products for sale.

Mountain Biking Trail holds ribbon cutting

Everyone is invited to attend the Ribbon Cutting for the Iron Mountain Biking Trail on Friday, April 29 at 11 am on Skyline Drive.  The location is across from Corp Road at the new parking lot past the entrance to Iron Mountain Lodge & Marina.

Congressman Mike Ross is the guest speaker. This event is hosted by the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Hot Springs man reels in $5K prize at DeGray tourney

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Boater Dakota Lucy of Hot Springs, Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 22 pounds, 6 ounces March 26 to win $5,505 in the BFL Arkie Division tournament on DeGray Lake. Lucy fished points on a Carolina rig with green lizards to sack his limit.

Robert Bogard Jr., of Conway, Ark., caught a five-bass limit weighing 13 pounds, 12 ounces March 26 to win $1,753 in the Co-angler Division. Bogard used Humdinger lizards on a Carolina rig to haul in his limit.
